Independent Study, Course Work Tests and Certification Examinations

These exams are administered to UL Students and non-UL Students according to the individual instructor or company’s mandates.

How to Register

All testing is administered by appointment only.  Testers must call 337-482-6480 or email testing@louisiana.edu to schedule a testing appointment.  Friday afternoon and weekend appointments are not available. Testing appointments are on a first-come-first-serve basis and we cannot guarantee proctor services without an appointment. If your test needs to be administered during specific dates, please schedule an appointment well in advance as space is limited and testing appointments fill up quickly. If we are not able to administer your test in the time allotted by the instructor, please have your instructor contact us to discuss arrangements.

Cost

The Independent Study/Course Work fee and Certification proctor fees are $25 per proctored testing session.  Fees are payable to UL Lafayette and EXACT change is required. These fees are to be paid by cash, check, cashier's check, or money order and are due at the appointment time.   Credit/debit cards are not accepted.

Required Valid Identification

Driver's license, or passport, or military ID must be presented at the time of testing.
