Praxis and Paraprofessional (ParaPro) Assessment

The Praxis Series™ tests measure teacher candidates’ knowledge and skills. The tests are used for licensing and certification processes and include:

Praxis:

These tests measure basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics, subject-specific content knowledge  and subject-specific teaching skills, that educators need for teaching. ParaProfessional Assessment:

The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test that offers certification which measures the reading, writing and basic math competencies of practicing and prospective paraprofessionals. It also offers an objective assessment of a prospective teacher’s requisite foundation of knowledge and skills and the ability to effectively use those skills in the classroom.

All Praxis and ParaPro Assessment tests are internet-based examinations.

Required Valid Identification

Current pictured ID such as Driver's license, or passport, or military ID and a Praxis admission ticket must be presented at the time of testing.
